About J’Cups

What’s in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other name would smell as sweet? – William Shakespeare (Romeo and Juliet)

The J’Cups Guest House is owned and run by Heleen and Jauqo Jacobs. Jacobs…J’Cups…see? And just like the name of the guest house, you will find personal and thoughtful touches everywhere you look.

The remarkable story of J’Cups Guest House starts in 2003. Heleen and Jauqo, who initially lived in the house themselves, were surprised by two visitors from Belgium late one night enquiring about a room to stay over in. Despite being told that it was a private house and not a guest house, they insisted on staying over, because it was just so beautiful! And that is where the seed of opening a guest house was planted.

Today J’Cups is a thriving guest house with 19 gorgeous rooms, a conference facility that can accommodate up to 48 delegates, as well as a licensed dining area for its patrons where they can enjoy home cooked meal overlooking the tranquil gardens.

In an ongoing effort to become more eco friendly, J’Cups Guest House has also recently converted a large portion of the electricity demand to solar power. All of the lights, TVs and fridges are run on pure solar power and geysers and air-conditioning units are run on a hybrid system.

Like the original two Belgium guests at J’Cups, you will still get to enjoy the home away from home feeling in stunning surroundings that Heleen and Jauqo provide to their guests. It is the ideal venue for both corporate travellers who need a relaxing place to stay during the week, or kid’s parties, baby showers, kitchen teas and family get togethers over weekends.

Heleen and Jauqo pride themselves on making every guest feel well taken care of, whatever their needs are during their stay over.
